Just like the name portrays, Wings is a non-profit organization designed for assisting the public service agencies such as fire, police and medical, along with the general public. Imagine the thought of a major disaster coming to Western North Carolina and having to borrow resources from other states to assist with the devistation.
Wings is the "angel" which comes to aid by having abundant resources on hand near Asheville, NC for quick dispersal, whether it be mobile medic units, medical supplies, or other much needed resources. WNC is blessed to have warehouses of food available for the public through area agencies, but if and when disaster strikes, the comforting sign of help can appear through the visual sign of Wings.
